All of the uncertainness in our world, in our country, in our city over the last month has brought on a restlessness in my soul. The Holy Spirit whispered to my heart that I needed to pull way back from the unending chatter of the internet… the news reports on every station… newspaper articles.

God was stepping into my thoughts and wanted me in a sacred place… a space alone… with Him! It was like stepping into God’s office to let Him help me sort it out. When we stop focusing on God and start listening to others’ stories, we quickly forget that God is working out some of the kinks in our own story.
However, once we step fully and quietly into that sacred place, alone with God, we can fully experience relief. We can go to God and find revival in His presence alone!
We are all called to tell of His goodness and grace to anyone who will listen. But we are also called to the quiet, tucked-away place alone with Him, where uncomfortable but necessary healing and growing happens. Alone with God, we taste the sweetness of grace that cannot be experienced anywhere else!
The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. — Psalm 91:1
Thank you so much for this. It was just what I needed to hear to help quiet my spirit.

Thanks for the thoughts. We’ve claiming Psalm 91:10 “that no plague will come near their tents”. The entire Psalm was my mother’s closing thoughts each night at bedtime.

Thank you for always knowing what we need to remember. Many time these past 2 weeks of listening and viewing
have brought to our attention that sometimes we need to rethink and listen to our God!

Thanks so much pastor. Truer words have never been spoken, get alone with God and don’t listen to all the junk.

Your reminder confirms what I have been reading and praying about. God is the only one who can get this under control and take us through this crisis.

There are people in my life right now who are so fearful for me as I continue my serving others as a nurse, and your thoughts say it all. I am trusting the Lord in all of this. I have a peace and calmness as I go to work and I praise God for that. Thank you Pastor Steve!
