Proverbs 31:31 says:
“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise.”
If you read the rest of Proverbs 31, it carefully lists and points out both character qualities and actions of the ideal mother. Mothers are encouraged to be:
- Merciful
- Observant
- Trustworthy
- Helpful
- Energetic
- Reverent towards God
- Wise
- Dignified
- Loving
- Forgiving
- Unconditional
This makes mothers very valuable and in need of God’s help. What a treasure she is to her family.
As a busy mother who takes responsibilities seriously, you might find yourself caught up in the demands of everyday life. When you do, it is only natural that you might, at times, forget to stop and thank the Lord for His blessings. If the demands of being a mother have caused you to take God’s gifts for granted, it is time to rethink your habits and reorder your to-do list. Slow down and show your sincere gratitude to the Father and this will enrich your life and the lives of your loved ones. Thanksgiving should become a habit, a regular part of your daily routine. God has blessed you beyond measure and you owe Him everything!
Thank you mom, for being one of God’s most special, most needed ladies on the earth. I know your family loves you and appreciates all you do!
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His court with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.
(Psalm 100:4-5)
Have a very blessed Mother’s Day!
