“ENCOURAGED”

The sun is shining this morning.

It’s not very warm out yet, but it is sunny! I’ll take that.

The TV hasn’t been on… no distractions …just feeling peaceful and calm. I would like to think that there are others out there – others, meaning “followers of Christ” – that are feeling the same this morning.

I breathe in the cool, morning air and the sunshine makes me feel encouraged!

What were you doing Wednesday morning? I was imagining that everybody that I know was doing the same thing. Not one of us was distracted. All of us stood in awe of God and felt His presence as we prayed, read His Word and soaked in the sunshine. I was strengthened thinking about my church family in God’s perfect peace. No fear or doubt was anywhere to be found. For a little while, with God and my church family, I was at peace.

Someone recently sent me a scripture: 1 John 4:18-19 (NKJV)

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.”

That is what I felt like. Not only was the light of The Son warming and filling my spirit, I was enjoying my church family. In my mind, we were all a part of this very special time with the Lord and each other.

It has been a long time since I have had a morning like this. I don’t want it to end. But, I have work to do. It can wait! I like thinking good thoughts about people I attend church with. I choose to see them this way.

Please join me. Let us see how many mornings we can have together with the Lord, enjoying His fellowship and choosing the most encouraging thoughts and wishes for each other.

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV)
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Will you purpose in your heart to meet me there on a daily basis? If so, let me know in the comments section.

It’s a great way to start your day.
