Rules are what God puts in place for a proper and safe society to continue from one generation after another. For us who live in this country – the USA – the background and thought process for our rule-making came from the Holy Bible.
Not to start an argument, but that may not seem to be the case today. God has an outcome planned for mankind. His rule or His process for getting us to where He wants us to be is explained in scripture. God has strategies for difficult times, as well as ways we are to celebrate the very best of times!
There is no day… never a day… when God has not planned for or given us instructions for. Charles Spurgeon said, “The Lord will make a way for you where no foot has been before that which, like a sea, threatens to drown you, shall be like a highway for your escape.”
In Psalm 77, Asaph wrote:
“Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, and Your footsteps were not known. You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.”
Psalm 77:19-20 NKJV
He was referring to the Israelites walking through the Red Sea.
The Israelites had the sea before them… Pharaoh’s army behind them… and yet Israelites passed through without even getting wet. God will make a way when there seems to be no way!
Today, you may find yourself standing before the Red Sea or what seems like it. The past may seem implausible and the future impossible. But God works in ways we cannot see! He will make a way of escape for His weary, waiting children.
“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:19 NKJV
No sea is deeper than His love for you.
There is no army stronger than His hosts.
There is no force greater than His throne of grace.
There is no enemy who can overcome His work in your life!
“The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; with His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, and strike it in the seven streams, and make men cross over dry-shod.”
Isaiah 11:15 NKJV
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
