Memorizing God’s Word

“Exciting News”

Last week I introduced to you an old, but new idea… that is – Scripture memorization.  We also asked you to pray for Christians–persecuted Christians around the world–especially in Iran.

This week, according to Operation World, the fastest growing church in the world is in the Islamic Republic of Iran even in spite of the pandemic and the government’s unceasing efforts to close down the church and arrest church leaders.

All throughout history, the church’s greatest hour was–and still is–when the forces come against them and they pray and commit themselves to the Word.  And every time, new converts spread like wildfire.

This is not a time to think as though we have a “church” break… a time of new freedom on Sundays.  This is the time when we should arise through prayer time in small groups and memorize God’s Word.

Not only does the persecuted church need your prayers, but our very nation needs people who will pray.  Our country is in big trouble.

Please seek the Lord on behalf of persecuted Christians and for our country.  PRAYER CHANGES THINGS. God longs for us to come to Him in the name of Jesus and pray.

Here are our next two verses to memorize.  Please share them.  Share the blessings you have received during this time of challenge.  Let’s flood our social media with the good things God is doing!

“He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13 NKJV

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
