One of the devotional books Jeannie and I read together is called, “A Moment to Breathe,” by Dayspring.
On June 2, the devotion was called, “Kingdom Ways.” Wow–did it describe the day perfectly!
The division in our land is truly unbelievable. That same division follows us into our families, friends and neighbors. Even into some of our churches.
We have many allegiances today and rightly so. The Lord understood this very well, because it was like this in His day.
God tells us this:
“If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen.”
1 John 4:20
This leads me to examine my “posture.”
Do I have an agreeable posture or a disagreeable posture?
Do I see my obligation to love one another as more important than being right or better than someone else?
Now is the time to remain solid when it comes to basic Christian principles and actions.
Trust the Lord!
Be kind to others!
Judge not!
Forgive and forget!
“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 14:17
