Memorizing God’s Word

“The Hundertmarks”

This week’s Scriptures are:

“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

John 6:35 NKJV

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9 NKJV

I just received an update from our missionaries, the Hundertmarks, from Africa.  What a blessed family!

I believe they are in the perfect place at the perfect time and are exactly at the center of God’s will.

I’m not sure how much of their information I should share on Facebook, but what a blessing they are to the people God has called them to minister to.

They are, as all missionaries, successful because of the prayer of the saints.

“Pray for patience and wisdom as we just take each day and attempt to live knowing it’s all we are guaranteed. Thank you for your patience. We know that for a lot of you that pray, it helps to get more frequent updates.  Just know that we are not neglecting or ignoring you. We are truly off grid at the moment and communication is taking a big hit. What better reason to not have internet though than to be living in a remote village learning a language so that the message of the gospel can someday change hearts and impact a community in the name of Jesus Christ.”  (The Hundertmark’s)

Prayer Requests from the Hundertmarks:

-Praise God for His guidance and protection

-Praise God that the work on our houses for the time being is complete. Our next term we will still need to tackle a water system and a larger more permanent solar system.

-Pray as we integrate into our new community and continue learning language and culture daily

-Pray that we make meaningful relationships and find ways to show love

-Pray that it would be clear as to when we can purchase tickets to return to the States soon.

– Pray that even now I can have a positive presence in the region and that I can be an ambassador for those that are in need.

– Pray that God would open our ears and minds to this new language. This is our third and final go at new languages. This language is daunting and full of challenges. It is difficult to give it 100% in the midst of the rest of life.
