Memorizing God’s Word

“India’s Worst Christian Massacre”

Our Scripture texts for memorization today are:

“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:3

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”

Matthew 5:13

You can tell by the title of this blog that it is going to be an update on persecuted Christians.

Today, from The Voice of the Martyrs, we learn that a group of Hindu extremists attacked more than 600 villages, destroying hundreds of churches, burning and looting 6,000 homes, leaving 56,000 people homeless.  18,000 people were injured and 100 people were murdered… just because they would not renounce Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

There is more to this story, but my concern is that we understand that the persecution of Christians is very real and will continue to grow!

I am asking you to set aside part of your day to pray for these folks.  Not to be spared, but to be committed to Christ and able to endure what comes their way.  Sooner or later, our own country will no longer tolerate our love and devotion to Jesus Christ.

We need to be full of God’s Spirit and pray for these families.

Many have had to watch while their loved ones were murdered right in front of them.

Please pray for them, that they remain strong.

Please pray for our church, that we continue to be strong, preaching and teaching JESUS IS LORD!
