Memorizing God’s Word

“Strengthening Our Faith”

Our memory verses for this week are:

“But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, ‘Why are you reasoning in your hearts?”

Luke 5:22

“Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

Luke 5:31

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

As I work on memorizing these verses, another verse comes to mind.  To me, it demonstrates how important and powerful the Scriptures really are.

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

If you go on to read Hebrews 4:13 it is pretty clear it is ready for today’s challenges.  In verse 3, notice “The Word” is now presented and it is now present as a person, “His Sight”.

13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account

Read John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

He is “The Word”.

The word is none other than “Jesus”.

The more you feed your soul on His Word, the stronger His presence is in your life.

It really does strengthen our faith.

These days, no one can or could know what tomorrow holds.  But our Savior knows and He wants us ready for it!

I am ready through His presence in my heart and His word guiding me each day.

I hope you have a good rest of your day.  I encourage you to pray and fill yourself with the Word of God.

Let the Lord rise up in you and be strong in the power of His might.

Ephesians 1:11

11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.

Ephesians 6:10

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
