“Who Won or Who Lost?”

I am writing this on November 4th.  The election for the highest office in the world was held yesterday.  As of right now, we don’t know who our President will be.

I want to remind all of us what Romans 13:1 says:

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

That is a pretty interesting verse.  Not only does it say that God puts the man in office that serves His will for mankind, but also lays down some pretty important directions for us.

I read an article from “The Daily Jot” this morning, which pretty much said the same thing.

No matter who turns out to be President, (hopefully we will all know by the time you read this), as Christians, we have a responsibility and a job to do.

As the Daily Jot says, “We, as prophetic people living in a prophetic time, must, as Christ instructed, ‘Let our light shine…that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’”

Jesus also said in Mark 3:24-26

24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.

Our nation is divided.  We must not be!

Our nation is headed for a very bad and abrupt ending.  We must be about Our “Father’s business” now, more than ever before.

No distractions!

Unity amongst the family of Christ is a must!

At least each local church must be stronger than ever before.

Our calling must take priority over everything else.

It is time to walk the walk and speak truth in love!

We Christians have a specific role to play preparing for the Rapture of the Church.

With what we saw leading up to the election and at the time of writing this, I have no way of knowing what will take place after the election, except what the Lord desires from us is confirmed and has not changed…no matter who is in office.

It is time we start being responsible and take ownership of who the Lord is.

It may be our time to shine for what may be the very last time!

With the division our country and world is in…we are on the edge, even on the brink of a total collapse of our country and the world as we know it!

This should be enough for us to realize the day in which we live in.

It is not coincidence that our churches have been closed…people don’t seem in need of each other’s fellowship…church buildings closing up for good…buildings for sale…congregations are being disbanded and are being disenfranchised from the rest of the body of Christ!

It’s hard not to see what time it is and what God’s eternal plan for earth and eternity are.

We need to commit ourselves to the Lord and His work.

We need to recommit ourselves to being last-day Christians and be the light God wants us to be.

We need to be the light that our friends and families need us to be, even if the darkness is getting darker!

Things ARE going to get worse, but “greater is He that is within you than He that is in the world.”

The election has very little to do with who we are and what we are to be and what we are to do!

It is time to listen to God … not to what everyone else is listening to!

  1. I appreciate this so much. It’s hard to filter all the things happening now and your reminder with scripture helps me to focus on Jesus.
