This is my “quick thought” from today’s reading in Matthew 17-19.
“This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” ~Matthew 17:5
Listen to him! There are so many voices competing or my listening ear, some good, some bad, some loud, some quiet, but always battling for my attention. Then, the voice of God breaks through the storm of thoughts, and stillness.
Listen to him! The Son of the Living God, loved by the Father. Listen to him; he is before all things and in him all things hold together! He spoke, and the world began; it appeared at his command!
All of creation rises on the foundation of his Word, and all of creation is stilled at his Word. Listen to him, the Word of God who is with God and is God! Listen to him, the Word of God in whom all of creation finds Life!
What other voices can compete? All other voices are still before Him!
This is what I heard in today’s reading, what do you hear?
